So I heard about claims of Firefox 125.x being 25% faster and wanted to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did that.
https://browserbench.org/Speedometer3.0/ results below (not sure how accurate/representative it is but whatever). Everything else being the same. Same machine, no other tabs etc.
Firefox 125.0.3 score - 12 (installed from Repositories)
Firefox-esr score - 6.2
Twice the score! The RAM consumption has come down too. Couldn't have been happier. Hope this sustains. I'd like to hear if anyone else had similar experience.
PS: I've now removed firefox-esr using apt. Don't need two firefoxes lying around.
