Hello everyone, first post and a bit of a newbie here.
I'm running Debian Testing on my Acer nitro 5 (Intel i5-11400H,NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile). I've been having lots of issues trying to get my nvidia drivers to work and after a fresh install yesterday I've finally done it. I followed an online guide to install them using the nvidia official installer for Linux from the website. Other than that i just had to add something to the grub config to blacklist nouveau. Everything was working fine until i turned it off. I'm not entirely sure since it shut down very quickly, but i might've gotten a kernel panic. I panicked too, but everything seemed to be working fine. Today I've been getting some weird problems. It only happens when the computer suspends, but when i unlock it i get the "Oh no, something has gone wrong" error, I then log back in and everything is fine. I'm not sure how to get lots of logs, but I checked journal and there's some errors related to gnome:
Sender: gnome-shell
Message:'Received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 332981 error_code 8 request_code 140 (unknown) minor_code 7)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the MUTTER_SYNC environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the meta_x_error() function.)'
And then 4 more, all sent by systemd:
-Failed to start app-gnome-user\x2ddirs\x2dupdate\x2dgtk-133795.scope - Application launched by gnome-session-binary.
-Failed to start app-gnome-gnome\x2dkeyring\x2dssh-133534.scope - Application launched by gnome-session-binary.
-Failed to start app-gnome-gnome\x2dkeyring\x2dsecrets-133535.scope - Application launched by gnome-session-binary.
-Failed to start app-gnome-gnome\x2dkeyring\x2dpkcs11-133530.scope - Application launched by gnome-session-binary.
UPDATE n.1: It happened again and this time i couldn't login, it kept saying "wrong password" even when i was sure it was correct. I could login through tty and rebooted, so it's definitely linked to gnome
