Hi,
I am on Debian 12 (bookworm), Gnome (dash to panel).
I want my screen to lock the screen once I close the lid of my laptop without clanging anything else, just to be working as usual but with the screen locked and ask for my password when I open the lid again. No, sleep, no hibernate... nothing.
I have read here viewtopic.php?t=154547 , viewtopic.php?t=130674 and viewtopic.php?t=125146
I tried:
HandleLidSwitch=ignore
HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=ignore
HandleLidSwitchDocked=ignore
gjs
policykit-1
and rebooted a few times after trying all in the threads, but still can't get my screen to lock when I close the lid.
Is it because I am using dash to panel?
How can I get my screen locked immediately once I close the lid?
Any help highly appreciated.
