I am trying to connect to an OpenVPN server that uses a certificate plus username and password to authenticate, using the Network-Manager.
The connection cannot be established because the system is however not accepting the password and asking for it again and again.
I tried it with the openvpn command and that works fine. On Linux Mint (using NetworkManager version 1.36.6-0) for example it works just fine, but on Debian 12 (using NetworkManager 1.42.4-1) and Ubuntu 24.4 (using NetworkManager 1.46.0-1) there is no way to connect using NetworkManager.
