This has been bugging me for awhile. I use openbox as my WM, no DE. Every so often, the screen will go black, i.e. "blanking". I have tried adding various combinations of xset commands to my openbox autostart file, but the blanking persists. It seems to happen about once every 5 mins (maybe 10, I havent timed it, but it's definitely a regular occurence). I don't want screen blanking or a screen saver, I just want the screen to stay on, period. Any openbox users here that know how I can nix this behavior? I'm sure it has something to do with X Windows and not openbox itself. It could possibly be a hardware power saving feature, but I've checked my BIOS and cant find any relevant settings that would be causing this.
