Hi guys,
Another attempt from me.
I installed from the iso on the Debian website the net install testing!
Reading here on the forums I understand it is not recommended for normal users but it is OK for me. I like the concept of a rolling release.
I checked the repos, inxi, etc...
I changed sources.list to be:I believe this way I am on Testing repos not "trixie", which is as I understood the current name of the testing release. But I thought changing all to "testing" would be better, I won't need to change repos again. This way it is supposed to be on "testing" all the time, for years to come.
What worries me, I did "inxi" but surprisingly I found it saying I am on "Distro: Debian GNU/Linux trixie/sid"
I do not want SID for sure, why is it still saying trixie? Why saying sid if I changed the repos to be all testing?
This is the output I got:I can see all repos saying testing, why inxi still telling me trixie/sid.
I hope you can explain for me to understand Debian more.
My main goal, I want to be on the most stable rolling release so I just keep getting updates/upgrades without ever needing to reinstall or change repos again (as for example Arch based distros).
Am I OK as what I mentioned above?
