About two weeks ago, both firefox and chromium started timing out when loading some web sites, but others still work. All web sites still work normally on our other two laptops running non-debian OSes (openbsd and windows). The failing laptop is running debian 12.7. I can ping the sites successfully from it.
Failing sites include walmart.com, familysearch.org, smithsfoodanddrug.com.
Successful sites include facebook, amazon, wikipedia, and others.
When I open chromium developer tools (F12) before loading the failing sites, it shows nothing coming back: no files, no error, no response at all, just times out. Familysearch.org does seem to give a redirect to www.familysearch.org, but then nothing after that before the browser timeout errors.
