Hello,
Upon install Debian 12 (64-bit PC netinst iso) when selecting no desktop I cannot use local hostnames (ie ping somecomputer.local) it returns no hostname availiable, also if I try to use the Debian 12 install hostname I am unable to connect from another computer. However, if I install a desktop during install, Xfce for example, it works fine. I have desktop disabled, and system boots into terminal, but I am just wondering what is going on? What am I missing here? On the no desktop option ip a shows BROADCAST, MULTICAST is enabled? Much thanks!
