SDDM / desktop effects issue

Hello,

Upon waking up from `sleep`, my desktop has started doing this: https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/1020335598

The issue has only started manifesting recently, does not happen on each wakeup, sometimes I can almost read a systray notification along the lines "KWin has been restarted due to desktop effects [...]", I was unable to find anything relevant in `/var/log`; even more recently booting the latest vmlinuz image - 6.1.0-26 - gets stuck at "[OK] Starting SDDM" - not sure but I think the previous image 6.1.0-25 boots fine every time.

I am thinking about maybe my nvidia kernel module manually compiled for the 6.1.0-25 kernel ?
