Experience doesn't seem tied to any specific application. Cursor stops moving and then laptop reboots after ~30 seconds of being frozen. Happens multiple times a day. Tried reinstalling OS with no difference. Tried Fedora 41, same thing. Now back to Debian, still happens.
One way the system is stable: creating a bootable USB for Windows 10 with WoeUSB. It takes hours to create and during that time the system doesn't freeze when it ordinarily would. Noticed it once, tried to repeat multiple times. Things are stable every time I do it. Not sure if that indicates some setting related idling or power management of CPU, etc. that I can't find is responsible.
OS - Debian 12
Memory - 8 GB
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz
Storage - 256 NVMe disk
Let me know what other info would be helpful.
Thanks!
