Recently I discovered one of my accounts through my cell phone was compromised which seemed to allow another application to be compromised. My attack was financial, none of the applications were compromised ... that I am aware of. The attack was done via 2FA texts sent to my old number and a quick witted nefarious recipient of the codes.
Normally I would wipe and refresh the phone from backups from a cloud server (my own), except now I do not trust the backups I have stored or any applications that were newly previously installed since most of them were linked as well to my old number.
At this point I'd like a fresh start with just my photographs and a banking app or two.
Is there a manner or method anyone can suggest to backup a cellphone along the lines of a snapshot? Or do I just copy the photos and music, wipe the device and re-add them to the renovated cellphone?
