Please help install Debian 12 on Apple Xserve.
I installed Debian x64 netbook to a USB. It loads on the xserver. I can get the installer going by adding the following to grub options nokaslr nomodeset radeon.modeset=0
This allows me to get in the installer and begin installing debian. At the end it asks me if I want to install Grub to an external device. If I click yes, the installer gets stuck, if I click no it finishes.
Regardless of this, then I cannot get the installed system to boot. If I just go to boot it, it just drops to a grub shell. I am not sure how this is supposed to work but this is my attempt. I even add the grub options from before. When I type boot it just freezes at this point with no indicator LED blinking.
"No suitable mode found booting in blind mode"
How can I fix this and get it to boot?
