Hello.
Since Debian Live session appears to provide passwordless "sudo" access, at least via gnome terminal, I wonder, is it safe to browse the internet (Firefox, Chromium)? Provided that one does not install any third-party apps or any browser extensions.
Even if one makes sure to not run the browser with "sudo" privilege in the first place, can the browser still acquire elevated privileges during runtime, because of the passwordless "sudo"? And, in relation to that, can the machine be susceptible to getting its HW infected (recent "sink-clоsе" thing, for instance) should it stumble upon a malicious web page? Has there been any research on that? Should the users be worried?
Thank you.
