[Hardware] Dell XPS 8940 issues

Hello all -
I am posting this to see if anyone else has encountered these issues and perhaps has found a solution.
SYSTEM INFO

Code:

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) x86_64 Host: XPS 8940 Kernel: 6.1.0-30-amd64 Resolution: 1920x1080 DE: Plasma 5.27.5 WM: KWin CPU: 11th Gen Intel i7-11700 (16) @ 4.800GHz GPU: Intel RocketLake-S GT1 [UHD Graphics 750] GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Memory: 3501MiB / 31766MiB
Issue #1 - The system came with Windows 11 installed on an nvme 1Tb stick. Additionally there is a 3.5" 1TB hard drive. I added a Seagate Barracuda 12 TB hard disk to it and installed Debian 12 on it.
When I rebooted the Grub menu came up, but it does not show an entry for windows boot loader. Only Debian entries are in grub.
I then went into BIOS and turned off secure boot as I have since posting this also installed the nvidia-driver.
Then I restarted the system, ran os-prober as sudo then ran sudo update-grub.
Then I restarted the system and at the grub menu there still was no windows boot load option.
Next I logged into Debian and ran lsblk - there is no nvme device shown??!!
I have since been on a Dell forum and have seen people posting numerous complaints there about nvme issues.
QUESTION - has anyone installed Debian on an XPS 8940 and were you able to get nvme based Windows recognized? If so, can you let me know how you did it?

Issue #2 - As the system is booting (which for a modern PC really takes more time than it should in my opinion) I see the following multiple times

Code:

usb 1-10: device descriptor read/64, error -110
I have searched on the 'net about this and the common explanation appears laptop related - the explanation is that insufficient power (or more power needed than the motherboard is supplying) is the root and suggested unplugging the power supply and then after 5 minutes or so plugging the power supply back in. But this is not a laptop. It doesn't keep me from using the PC, but I just try to understand anything such as this that is occurring on the system.
QUESTION - has anyone running Debian on an XPS 8940 seen similar issues? Were you able to resolve them? If so, would you mind telling me what you did to resolve the issue?

COMMENT: This is the first PC I have purchased in about 10 years. I bought it about 18 months ago. It is the goofiest rig I have seen regarding BIOS. At boot holding down F2 takes you into BIOS set up BUT, it isn't where you want to be to say, boot from a live USB stick. No. Instead at boot you hold down F12. This takes you into "one time boot" and there you can select what you want to boot from, and curiously you can also get to the same config menu you get if you hold down F2 and boot. I had to go on a Dell forum to find all this out and the person advising me insists that Windows must always be the first entry in boot order - but this is not the case as since installing Debian 12 it is now the first in boot order and I can still get to windows by booting/F12 and selecting it from there - but it is irritating that I cannot see the nvme ssd and therefore os-prober cannot find it. If this system were not so new I would cannibalize the parts and send it to the dump and get a System76 Thelio or maybe a Tuxedo. I'm sick of these BIOS shenanigans.

Thanks in advance for any help !!!!
