My machine is:

Code:

Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0Qt Version: 5.15.8Kernel Version: 6.1.0-30-amd64 (64-bit)Graphics Platform: X11Processors: 20 × Intel® Core™ i5-14600KMemory: 62.6 GiB of RAMGraphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti/PCIe/SSE2Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.Product Name: Z790 EAGLE AX
After I'd upgraded system from 6.1.0-30 to 6.1.0-31 SDDM doesn't show login screen. I mean it doesn't show itself. I examined journal the last entries concerning SDDM are as follows:

Code:

Initializing... Starting... Logind interface found Adding new display on vt 7 Loading theme configuration from "" Display server starting Adding cookie 'cookie' Running: /usr/bin/X -nolisten tcp -auth /var/run/sddm/'cookie' -background none -noreset -displayfd 17 -seat seat0 vt7
The last entries are these:

Code:

Failed to read display number from pipeCould not start Display server on v7 7
Under 6.1.0-30 the whole process runs with no problem. The next entry from SDDM after "Running..." instead of "Failed..." is:

Code:

 Setting default cursor
which is missing under 6.1.0-31.

What could be done to resolve the problem?
