Mouse problem

Hi everyone, I have Debian Trixie with GNOME and sometimes the mouse pointer doesn't respond well to commands, it moves in small jerks (especially when moving diagonally), It moves in a sawtooth motion and isn't accurate. All these issues become much more noticeable when the movement is slow. For example, if I move it slowly, it tends to stay still instead of following the mouse's movement.
What could be the problem?
