New install. No such cryptodisk found

Using a 2015 laptop attempted to install Debian. I've attempted a second install, with same issue. My bios was updated just prior and I reset all options to defaults. Using hybrid uefi I think in bios for selection. Otherwise the system wouldn't even find the USB drive. Request help, thanks.
