So, fiddling with various things installing various packages, every now and then she wants to rebuild my initrd.img and the sizes have varied from 123Mb down to 18Mb. The latter was produced during installation when I was asked if I wanted a custom initrd or an 'everything including the kitchen sink' initrd, so I took the econo version, which seems fine. So, presuming these initrd rebuilds are necessary -- tho so far the original 18Mb version has not had any issues -- how can I get the econo version, while respecting the need to rebuild? Or can I just continue with by original econo version? Sounds like the wrong answer, but ...
