Sony Vaio, Legacy Boot, originally with Windows 7
3G DRAM, 250G SSD.
Windows 10 and Debian 12, XFCE new installation yesterday.

I installed Gdebi from the repositories then tried to install MegSync and Dropbox, but both failed that is gdebi opened to install but seemed to be okay but the dialogue box disappeared.

Megasync offer a way to install using terminal commands and this worked successfully.

Dropbox also offers a way to install using terminal commands, and this appeared to work. But I could not find the Dropbox icon but another terminal command line given me a link to open the Dropbox webpage, this worked as far as successfully linking the app it said.
But there is no Dropbox directory and still no icon.

I posted this here because it seems to be a Debian 12 XFCE issue.
